Joiel

Joiel began dancing at the age of three at the Savelli dance Studio in Kirtland Ohio. She studied tap, jazz, ballet, point, twirling, tumbling and body alignment there for over 10 years. She performed with the studio all over NE-Ohio and competed numerous times.

Joiel continued dancing through high school, performing in multiple musicals at the Andrews School in Willoughby Ohio.

She studied ballet and modern dance at Kenyon College and performed and competed as a member of the Dancer's Co-Op. She was also a member of the Kenyon College Dance and Drama Club and performed on stage in musicals and Opera Workshop performances.

Joiel loves the performing arts in general, acting, singing, dancing and even writing for film and stage as often as possible. She has performed on many local stages including Rabbit Run Theater, Ashtabula's Straw Hat Theater and The Fine Arts Association.

Joiel has just begun to study at Cleveland Swing and Salsa. She is eager to perform, work on technique and learn new choreography, but she is even more excited about the opportunity to gather skills that will make her an effective teacher.

Joiel works in software validation and lives in Willoughby with her husband James and their two children, Paul and Ava.
