Walk-Ins

If you don't mind learning with other students in the room, then group lessons can be fun, challenging and very affordable for you. Group lessons range anywhere from $5.00 to $20.00 per session and can run from 1 hr. to 2 hrs. long. One of the major benefits of a group lesson is that you don't need a partner. There will be many other students there for you to practice the moves with. One or two drawbacks might be that the dance style, level and material, you will learn, are pre-determined and that the teacher must share their time with everyone in the lesson.

5-wk sessions

5-wk. sessions are much the same as group sessions except that the course is more structured and progresses over a six-week period. Many students find it easier to grasp material in this type of venue because 5-wk. sessions concentrate on a certain number of dance patterns and review previous material from week to week. These sessions also follow a strict dance syllabus geared towards a certain dance level.

Privates

If you are self-conscious about learning with other students in the room with you, or you want to focus on a specific dance style, then private lessons are the way to go. Private lessons may cost more but the benefits are numerous. Private lessons are tailored made to fit your specific needs so that you can reach your personal goals. The entire lesson is devoted to you.
